‘Golden Victory’ 1971 Indo-Pak War, Celebration of 50 years of 1971 war

Pune (P&V news service):- Fortnight celebration of Golden Victory of 1971 Indo-Pak war will be celebrated in Pune, comprises Inauguration of battle tank T-55 on display, essay competition, exhibition of paintings on war by renowned artists, exhibition of photographs of 1971 war, lectures, clippings of patriotic films, signature campaign, Wreath-laying at the war memorial, inauguration of a 20-minute 3D laser film on a 80-feet-long water screen. This fortnight ‘golden victory’ celebration will be held between 3rd to 16th December 2021 at Pune which is conceptualized by PMC Congress Party Leader Aba Bagul with association of PMC for opening and closing ceremony. Many political dignitaries, many serving and retired senior army officers will grace the occasion.

Subedar Sanjay Kumar the recipient of Param Vir Chakra will be the star attraction of the closing event. This year marks the 50th anniversary of India’s victory over Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistan War. With this in mind, this fortnight celebration event has been organized.

The beginning of this fortnight celebration will commence with the inauguration of display of T-55 battle tank on Friday 3rd December 2021 at 11 a.m. at Late Vasantrao Bagul Garden, Shivdarshan, Pune which will be inaugurated by Lt. Gen. D. B. Shekatkar (Rtd.) (PVSM, AVSM, VSM) and will be chaired by Hon. Mayor of Pune Murlidhar Mohol. The Army has presented this battle tank to PMC, which played a major role in the wars with Pakistan in 1965 and 1971. Senior Gandhian thinker Ulhas Pawar and former MLC Mohan Joshi will be the guests of honour. Shri. Vikram Kumar, Commissioner of PMC, office bearer of PMC, Corporators, officials and other dignitaries will also be present on this occasion. This program will be presented by Pune Municipal Corporation. Ghanshyam Sawant will be the compere. The display of this battle tank will then be open for the citizens.

The T-55 tank was built in the Soviet Union in 1963 and was used by the Battle Tank in the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pakistan wars. The tank retired from the Indian Army in 2010. It has a length of 6200 mm, width 3270 mm, height 2350 mm, track spacing 2640 mm and weight 30000 kg.
This function will be followed by inauguration of exhibition of selected hundred photographs of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War at Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi Art Gallery, Bagul Udyan which will be inaugurated by the hands of Lt. Gen. D. B. Shekatkar (Rtd.). The exhibition will be open from 3rd December to 18th December from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Total 36 LED TV screens have been installed in this art gallery and selected clippings of patriotic Hindi and Marathi war related films will showcase on it. The National Film Archieve of India and Film Division have supported for this.

On Sunday, 5th December, at Sambhaji Garden Footpath, Jangali Maharaj Road from 7 am onwards, about 25 renowned artists will draw live paintings on the theme ‘Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the War of 1971’. This event will be inaugurated by Brigadier Ajit Apte along with renouned cartooninst Charuhas Pandit and Gen. S.S. Mehata at 11 am. The exhibition of these paintings will be held from 6 December to 18th December at Pt. Bhimsen Joshi Art Gallery, Bagul Garden, Shivdarshan, Pune.
Other events include the wreath laying at war memorial at Ghorpadi on December 9, at 10 am by Hon’ble MLA Anantrao Gadgil.

The other programs includes a signature drive to salute Indian martyrs’ soldiers on the occasion of 75 year of our freedom. This programme will be held on 9 December 2021 at 11.am at Balgandharva Rangamandir passage.

This mega event will conclude on 16 December at 5 p.m at Vasantrao Bagul Garden, Shivdarshan, Pune. A special prepared 3D laser film on 1971 war will be screened and inaugurated on a giant 80 feet by 20 feet water screen of a fountain situated in the garden which will be the star attraction in Vasantrao Bagul Garden. Many political dignitaries along with many retired military officers will be present on this occasion. Subedar Sanjay Kumar, the receipient of Param Vir Chakra has also confirm his presence for the occasion. Nandkumar Bangude, Amit Bagul, Ghanshyam Sawant, Ramesh Bhandari, Nandkumar Kondhalkar, Sagar Arole and many other persons from different strata have taken special efforts to make all these programmes successful.

पुष्पचक्र अर्पण, शंभर फूट लांब पाण्याच्या पडद्यावर 20 मिनिटांच्या थ्रीडी लेझर चित्रफितीचे उद्घाटन असे भरगच्च कार्यक्रम
आणि परमवीर चक्र सन्मानाचे मानकरी सुभेदार संजयकुमार आणि अनेक आजी-माजी लष्करी अधिकारी यांच्या उपस्थितीत
पुण्यात 3 ते 16 डिसेंबर 2021 या काळात ‘सुवर्ण विजय द्विसप्ताह’ साजरा केला जाणार आहे. 3 ते 16 डिसेंबर 1971 या
काळात झालेल्या भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्धात भारताने पाकिस्तानवर विजय मिळवून बांगलादेशाची स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र म्हणून निर्मिती
केली त्यास यंदा 50 वर्षे पूर्ण होत आहेत. हे औचित्य साधून या ‘सुवर्ण विजय’ द्विसप्ताहाचे दिमाखदार आयोजन करण्यात आले
आहे. पुणे महानगरपालिका काँग्रेस पक्ष गटनेते आबा बागुल यांच्या संकल्पनेतून हे कार्यक्रम होत असून, उद्घाटन व समारोप
कार्यक्रमास पुणे महानगरपालिकेचा सहयोग लाभला आहे, अशी माहिती आबा बागुल यांनी दिली.

या ‘सुवर्ण विजय’ द्विसप्ताहाचे उद्घाटन शिवदर्शन येथील कै. वसंतराव बागुल उद्यानात शुक्रवार, दि. 3 डिसेंबर रोजी सकाळी 11
वाजता प्रदर्शनीय टी-55 रणगाड्याच्या उद्घाटनाने होईल. भारतीय सैन्यदलाने हा रणगाडा पुणे महानगरपालिकेस भेट दिला
आहे. याचे उद्घाटन लेफ्ट. जन. डी. बी. शेकटकर (निवृत्त) (पीव्हीएसएम, एव्हीएसएम, व्हीएसएम) यांच्या शुभहस्ते होणार
असून याचे अध्यक्षस्थान पुण्याचे महापौर मा. मुरलीधर मोहोळ भूषविणार आहेत. ज्येष्ठ गांधीवादी विचारवंत उल्हास पवार व
माजी आमदार मोहन जोशी हे प्रमुख पाहुणे असणार असून, मनपा आयुक्त विक्रमकुमार, सन्माननीय खासदार,आमदार, मनपा
पदाधिकारी, नगरसेवक, मनपा अधिकारी व अन्य मान्यवर याप्रसंगी उपस्थित राहणार आहेत. पुणे महानगरपालिकेतर्फे हा
कार्यक्रम सादर होईल. घनश्याम सावंत या कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन करतील. हा प्रदर्शनीय रणगाडा त्यानंतर नागरिकांना
पाहण्यासाठी खुला केला जाईल.

हा टी-55 रणगाडा सोव्हिएत युनियनमध्ये 1963 मध्ये निर्माण करण्यात आला असून, 1965 व 1971 च्या भारत-पाकिस्तान
युद्धात या बॅटल टँकने मोठी कामगिरी बजावली आहे. सन 2010 मध्ये भारतीय सैन्यातून या रणगाड्याची निवृत्ती झाली. याची
लांबी 6200 एमएम, रुंदी 3270 एमएम, उंची 2350 एमएम, ट्रॅक स्पेसिंग 2640 एमएम आणि वजन 36000 किलो एवढे
आहे.

3 डिसेंबर रोजी वरील कार्यक्रमानंतर भारतरत्न पं. भीमसेन जोशी कलादालन येथे 1971 मधील भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्धातील
निवडक छायाचित्रांच्या प्रदर्शनाचे उद्घाटन लेफ्ट. जन. डी. बी. शेकटकर (निवृत्त) यांच्या हस्ते संपन्न होईल. या फोटो प्रदर्शनात
2 फूट बाय 3 फूट आकाराची एकूण सुमारे शंभर छायाचित्रे असून, हे प्रदर्शन सकाळी 10 ते रात्री 8 या वेळेत दि. 3
डिसेंबरपासून 18 डिसेंबरपर्यंत नागरिकांना पाहण्यासाठी विनामूल्य खुले असेल. तसेच याच कलादालनात या कार्यक्रमाच्या
निमित्ताने 36 एलईडी टीव्ही बसवून बनविण्यात आलेल्या अत्याधुनिक डिजिटल लायब्ररीचे उद्घाटन करण्यात येणार आहे. तसेच
देशभक्तीच्या हिंदी व मराठी युद्धविषयक चित्रपटांतील निवडक क्लिपिंग्ज यावर दाखवल्या जाणार आहेत. राष्ट्रीय चित्रपट
संग्रहालय व फिल्म डिव्हिजन यांचा सहयोग यासाठी लाभला आहे.

1971 चे युद्ध सार्‍या देशाने आकाशवाणी व वृत्तपत्रांतून अनुभवले. ब्लॅक आउट, सायरन असे शब्द नागरिकांच्या जीवनाचा अंग
बनले. त्या युद्धकाळातील आठवणींवर आधारित ‘1971 चे युद्ध’ या विषयावर निबंध स्पर्धेचे आयोजन करण्यात आले असून,
मराठी, हिंदी व इंग्रजी भाषांमध्ये 500 शब्दांपर्यंत हे निबंध आबा बागुल यांचे शिवदर्शन येथील कार्यालय येथे समक्ष अथवा

सकाळी 7 वाजल्यापासून पुण्यातील सुमारे 25 नामवंत चित्रकार ‘पंतप्रधान इंदिरा गांधी व 1971 चे युद्ध’ या विषयावर प्रत्यक्ष
पेंटिंग्ज (चित्र) काढणार असून, ही पेंटिंग्ज प्रत्यक्ष साकारताना बघण्याची संधी पुणेकरांना मिळणार आहे. याचे उद्घाटन

ब्रिगेडियर अजित आपटे व व्यंगचित्रकार चारुहास पंडित करणार आहेत. याचे प्रदर्शन 6 डिसेंबरपासून 18 डिसेंबरपर्यंत
भारतरत्न पं. भीमसेन जोशी कलादालन, बागुल उद्यान, शिवदर्शन येथे सकाळी 10 ते रात्री 8 या वेळेत नागरिकांना
पाहण्यासाठी विनामूल्य खुले असेल.

या ‘सुवर्ण विजय’ द्विसप्ताहात अन्य कार्यक्रमांमध्ये 9 डिसेंबर रोजी सकाळी 10 वाजता घोरपडी येथील युद्धस्मारकास आमदार मा.अनंतराव गाडगीळ यांच्या हस्ते.

पुष्पचक्र अर्पण करण्याचा कार्यक्रम होईल. भारतीय स्वातंत्र्याच्या अमृत महोत्सवानिमित्त 75 फुटी लांब तीन रंगांच्या पडद्यावर
‘एक स्वाक्षरी शहीद जवानांच्या अभिवादनासाठी’ हा कार्यक्रम संपन्न होणार असून, याप्रसंगी ज्येष्ठ गांधीवादी विचारवंत मा.
उल्हास पवार व डॉ. कुमार सप्तर्षी प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून उपस्थित राहणार आहेत. हा कार्यक्रम 9 डिसेंबर रोजी सकाळी 11
वाजता बालगंधर्व रंगमंदिर आवारात संपन्न होईल.

दि. 16 डिसेंबर रोजी या ‘सुवर्ण विजय’ द्विसप्ताहाची सांगता समारंभपूर्वक केली जाईल. पुणे महानगरपालिकेतर्फे हा कार्यक्रम
सादर होणार असून, शिवदर्शन येथील वसंतराव बागुल उद्यान येथे साकारलेल्या भव्य कारंज्याच्या आधारे तयार होणार्‍या 100
फूट लांब व 20 फूट उंच पाण्याच्या पडद्यावर 1971 च्या भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्धावर आधारित थ्रीडी लेझर चित्रफितीचे
मान्यवरांच्या उपस्थितीत उद्घाटन होणार आहे. या कार्यक्रमास 1999 च्या कारगिल युद्धात परमवीर चक्र सन्मानाचे मानकरी
सुभेदार संजयकुमार उपस्थित राहणार असून, अनेक मान्यवर नेते व निवृत्त लष्करी अधिकारी या प्रसंगी उपस्थित राहतील.
देशातील अशा पद्धतीने पाण्याच्या पडद्यावर सादर होणारी ही पहिलीच थ्रीडी लेझर चित्रफीत असेल.

महिने चालू असून, हे कार्यक्रम यशस्वी करण्यासाठी विविध क्षेत्रातील मान्यवर, पदाधिकारी तसेच नंदकुमार बानगुडे, अमित
बागुल, घनश्याम सावंत, रमेश भंडारी, नंदकुमार कोंढाळकर, सागर आरोळे इत्यादी विशेष प्रयत्न करीत आहेत.
