International Floriculture and Horticulture Exhibition begins
Pune: India’s largest international floriculture exhibition based on horticulture, floriculture, arboriculture, agri-entrepreneurship and advanced processing technology organized by Vasu Events & Hospitality and Maharashtra Nurserymen’s Association was inaugurated by Ganesh Nibe, Director Nibe Defence, Deputy Director Punjab Hortipro was present in the presence of Harshdeep Singh, Pune Pula founder Sonia Konjeti, Vasant Rasne, Shraddha Rasne, Vijay Rasne of Vasu Events and Hospitality along with Maharashtra Nursery Men Association president Shashikant Chaudhary, secretary Anand Kanchan, Bhagyashree Patil, Yashwant Sahakari Sugar Factory Theur president Subhash Jagtap, Moreshwar Kale, Manoj Devre, Ashok Bhujbal, Rajendra Chavan, Sunil Chorge, Mahipal Rana, Mahanand Mane and other dignitaries were present.

Nibe said that flower cultivation and horticulture is a complementary business of agriculture. It is profitable for farmers as a co-business. Farmers should give priority to this business along with their traditional business. India is an agricultural country where farming is done on a large scale. Currently, Hortipro is also taking roots in cities. Various types of plants and flowers are being planted in homes, courtyards, galleries and there is a great demand for them. Therefore, farmers should give priority to this business as a joint venture.
The horticulture exhibition offers a variety of plants and more innovations in the field of horticulture. Horticulture farmers from India and abroad participated in the professional exhibition and horticulture experts held detailed discussions and guided the farmers and professionals regarding employment and business in the horticulture sector.
Pune residents can visit the exhibition from 22 to 24 November at New Agriculture College Ground (Sinchnagar) from 10 am to 7 pm. However, maximum number of Pune residents are requested to visit this exhibition.
