Double Crown for Chand, title for Joshi at the The Poona Club Squash Open and PSA Challenger Tour  

Pune –  Suraj Chand from Maharashtra won a memorable double crown in the men’s event  while Urwashi Joshi won the PSA women’s singles title at The Poona Club Squash Open and PSA Challenger Tour have reached a pivotal moment as the finals await, promising an electrifying conclusion to this prestigious tournament.In the PSA Men’s event finals, second seeded Sruaj Chand upset top seeded R Laksiri 12-14, 11-8, 11-6, 12-10 to win the title. In the PSA Women’s finals top seeded Urwashi Joshi outplayed Diya Yadav 11-9, 9-11, 11-8 to lift the title.

Aradhya Porwal of Delhi, Dhairya Gogia from Rajasthan,Shanaya Parasrampuria of Maharashtra,  Dhruv Bopana of Tamilnadu,  Anika Kalanki of MP,  Hridhaan Shah and Aarika Mishra from Maharashtra, Shiven Agarwal of Tamilnadu, Karina Phipps of Maharashtra, Priyanshu Kumar from Uttarpradesh, Shameena Riaz of Tamilnadu, Sandeep Jangra from Services, Paul Ipe of Karnataka, Benjamin Nedarapalli of Maharashtra, Vikas Nayar of Chandigarh, Inderjeet Singh of Maharashtra  Ajay Kohli of Delhi emerged winners in other age group events.   

Since May 8th, a total of 707 players, both domestic and international, have showcased their skills and determination on the squash courts of Pune, competing across various categories in a display of athleticism and sportsmanship. The tournament also saw over 70 participants from tribal regions competing in the junior categories.
