Honoring ceremony of Vaikunth Mehta Institute, which has contributed significantly to the cooperative movement, will be held on Monday

Pune: Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management  Commemoration ceremony and 57th anniversary celebration of Vaikunth Mehta Institute, established  in the year 1947. which has contributed significantly to the cooperative movement, will be held on Monday, January 15 at 11 am. at Shivneri hall of the institute. Maharashtra State Hon. Cooperatives Minister Dilip Valse Patil will be present as the chief guest and representatives of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and Anand President Dr. Meenesh Shah, Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University Prof. Dr. Suresh Gosavi as well Directors, government officials, educational institutes, industrial sector dignitary VAMNICOM members, office bearers, professors, employees, students, trainees will attend the ceremony. VAMNICOM aspires to be recognized as a Centre of Excellence for

management education & training in the country’s cooperative sector.

The pioneer of the co-operative movement of the country, Mr. Celebrates its foundation day on 15th January in memory of Vaikunthbhai Mehta. Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management is a national level apex cooperative management institute under the Ministry of Cooperatives, Government of India. The institute is making significant contributions to the cooperative movement by carrying out research and consultancy projects in the areas of management training, management education, cooperatives and rural development. The institute understands the needs of the cooperative sector and conducts training programs to enhance the skills of cooperative officers and officials. 

Institute is diligently aligning its efforts with the initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Government of India, to foster sustainability in the cooperative sector.  The institute is actively engaging with Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS), disseminating crucial information about the Ministry of Cooperation’s initiatives on business diversification, Common Service Centre, grain storage, and their convergence with various schemes. Director Hema Yadav, along with the dedicated faculty members and staff, exemplifies unwavering commitment to the development of the cooperative sector and institutional growth. VAMNICOM empowers its members, professionals, and students, enabling them to stay competitive in an ever-evolving environment.

VAMNICOM is committed to contributing to the policy of cooperatives and facilitating the creation of a cadre of professional managers through Management Development Programs (MDP), training, education, research and consultancy.
