Piyush Mishra’s musical band Ballimaaraan to perform live at Phoenix Marketcity, Pune

Popular for his iconic roles in Bollywood and known for his writing, Piyush Mishra along with his musical band ‘Ballimaaraan’ is all set to mesmerize the Pune audience on 4th June 2022, at Liberty Square. ‘Ballimaaraan’ the band is a musical homage to the doyen of Urdu poetry, Mirza Ghalib. The name of course is inspired by the lanes in Delhi where the bard once lived. However, the essence of Ghalib’s erstwhile gully is now being taken to every corner through Piyush Mishra’s band, Ballimaaraan.
With his soul-piercing voice, strong lyrics, and melodious tunes, Piyush and his band will be performing his famous renderings of Aarambh hai Prachanda, Ik Bagal Mein Chand Hoga, Husna which are sure to tug the heartstrings. The group includes Piyush Mishra as the lead singer, Nishant Agarwal as the guitarist; Jayant Patnaik as the percussionist, Lubhanu Priy on the Keyboard, Shreyas Iyengar on drums, Shirish Daniel Malhotra who juggles between Saxophone, flute, violin, Shovon Mukherjee as the bass guitarist and Rahul as backing vocals.

About the Band:
Since its inception in 2016, Ballimaaraan has performed all over the country and has gained popularity with its genre-bending songs. The songs performed by Ballimaaraan are an amalgamation of various emotions and genres of music with the lyrics penned by Piyush Mishra himself. The band’s music feels like an engaging conversation, like dialogues in a theater – free-flowing and straight from the heart. The fusion of retro with contemporary tunes has a youthful, rebellious energy to it. Over the years many of the songs have gained a cult following as they resonate well with youngsters.
