Initiative of Chhava Swarajya Sena to prevent accidents due to heavy vehicles.

Pune: A few months back, Arif Bhai Sheikh, state working president of Chhava Swarajya Sena, had lodged a complaint with the RTO, all traffic control departments in Maharashtra, alleging that heavy vehicles plying through congested areas were carrying excessive loads beyond the limits and causing fatal accidents. 

To control this, statement and complaint forms were filed in all RTO offices in Maharashtra. This demand of Chhava Swarajya Sena was accepted and a special committee was constituted by the Transport Department and the work of the committee has also been started. Arif Bhai Sheikh, State President of Chhawa Swarajya Sena has received a letter which states that heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering Sinhagad Transport Department limits from 8 am to 12 noon and 4 to 9 pm by the RTO. and action can be taken for violating the rules.

Our demand for heavy traffic control was fulfilled with the strong support of the founder President of Chhawa Swarajya Sena, Ram Ghayatidak  Patil, state president Rajendra Padwal, state women’s front president Sheetal Hulawale. Sheikh said in a statement that he now hopes the number of accidents in cities will decrease.
