Pusalkar PYC Premier League 2021 from 13th December

Pune (P&V news service):- The 8th Edition of ‘PYC – Pusalkar PYC Premier League 2021’, will be held on the PYC Hindu Gymkhana ground from 13th to 19th December 2021.
This Tournament is being organized taking into consideration all covid appropriate behavior. Speaking to reporters Kumar Tamhane, Hon. President, Mr. Sarang Lagu, Hon. Secretary and Mr. Vinayak Dravid, Cricket Secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana said that players were selected through an auction process by the team owners who are members of the club. The Title sponsor for the event will be Mr. Vijay Pusalkar, who has been sponsoring the event for last 4 years.


Hodek has also been associated with this event for the last 4 years as a Co-Sponsor. Belvalkar Housing Ltd, Brihans Greenleaf, Supreme Constro Products will be the other Co sponsors. Wow Hand Sanitizer will be the Hygiene Partner while 9T9 Autocare and Actual Protein Bars will be the Prize sponsors.
The Winners Trophy is named after our past president Late. Mr. Dnyaneshwar Agashe. Shriniwas Chaphalkar (7200 pts, Bulls), Karna Mehta (5700 pts, Tuskers), Tanmay Chobhe (5200 pts, Unikorns), Harshal Gandre (4800pts, Tuskers), Rohan Chhajed (4600pts, Dolphins), Nahush Jadhav (4500 pts, Panthers) ), Amit Paranjape (4100 pts. Octopi) Abhishek Tamhane (4000pts, Tigers), Ravi Kasat (4000pts, Jaguars), Jaydeep Godbole (4000pts, Werewolves), Harsha Jain (4000pts, Wolves) and Ankush Jadhav (4000, Skylarks) the most expensive players at the auction.


The teams are as follows Bobcats, Bulls, Cheetahs, Dolphins, Jaguars, Lions, Wolves, Panthers, Snow Leopards, Space Clone Octopi, Skylarks, Tigers, Tuskers, Unikorns and Werewolves. The format of the tournament is designed to be extremely competitive.
15 teams have been distributed into 3 groups of 5 teams each by the way of a lucky draw. Top 2 teams (on points) from each group plus two more teams on the basis of Points and Net Run Rate irrespective of their group will qualify for the round of 8 (quarter final stage).


The winning teams from this stage will then move to play the Semi-Finals. The Finals will be played on Sunday 19th December 2021. The Match will be of 6 Over’s per side and will have 9 players per side.
The event is executed for the past seven years by Kara Intellect for PYC Hindu Gymkhana.


A special committee of comprising Mr. Vinayak Dravid, Mr. Sarang Lagu, Mr. Abhishek Tamhane, Mr. Tushar Nagarkar, Mr. Ranjit Pande, Mr. Indrajit Kamtekar, Mr. Devendra Chitale, Mr. Shirish Apte, Mr. Siddharth Date, Mr. Karna Mehta and Mr. Kapil Khare has been formed to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Mr. Niranjan Godbole will be the Director of the Tournament.
