Pune : (P&V News service) : 18 teams have been invited for the “PYC-Filtrum Challenger Trophy” Invitation Under-25 3day Mens Cricket Tournament organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana. The matches will be played on PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Deccan Gymkhana, Poona Club, Varroc Vengsarkar Academy, Aryans, Nehru Stadium, Brilliant Sports Club, Virangana, Barane Cricket grounds from 22nd November 2021. The Opening match will be played on PYC Ground on Monday,22nd November 2021. Speaking to reporters Mr. Kumar Tamhane, President of PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Mr. Sarang Lagu, Hon. Secretary and Mr. Vinayak Dravid, Cricket Secretary of the PYC Hindu Gymkhana said that, teams like host PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Deccan Gymkhana, Poona Club, Varroc Vengsarkar Academy, Cadence, Club of Maharashtra, United Sports Club, Brilliant Cricket Academy, Aryans Cricket Academy, Vijay Cricket Club, Kedar Jadhav Cricket Academy, Ambitious Cricket Club, Metro Cricket Club along with 5 zonal teams from MCA viz North Zone, West Zone, South Zone, East Zone and Central Zone have been included to be part of this event. “We are thrilled to support this event and happy that young talent is getting a platform to show their skills and talent. We are happy that good players will be identified through this event ” said Mr. Niranjan Kirloskar, Managing Director of Filtrum. The matches will be played on Knock Out basis. Opening match and Final match will be played at PYC Hindu Gymkhana cricket ground. The winning and runner up team will be given Trophy. Apart from winner and runner up trophy Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Wicketkeeper and Man of the series will be awarded with individual trophies, he added. A tournament committee comprising of Mr.Vinayak Dravid, Mr.Sarang Lagu, Mr.Niranjan Godbole, Mr.Indrajeet Kamtekar, Mr.Parag Shahane, Mr.Deepak Gadgil, Mr.Kapil Khare has been formed for the smooth conduct of the event.
