Pune: On the occasion of World Kidney Day, Noble Hospitals & Research Centre, in association with NephroPlus, organised an interactive and engaging awareness session titled “Kidney Health for All” ..
The session aimed to raise awareness about kidney health, preventive care, and the importance of early diagnosis of kidney diseases. The program discussed lifestyle choices, diet, physical activity, and mental wellbeing that play an important role in maintaining healthy kidneys.
The programme featured “Kidney Pe Charcha”, an informative discussion where nephrologists addressed common myths and concerns related to kidney diseases. Dr. Avinash Ignatius, HOD & Senior Consultant – Nephrology, and Dr. Rakesh Sudhir Shinde, Consultant Nephrologist, shared insights on risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, and unhealthy lifestyle habits that contribute to kidney disorders.
The session also included a diet awareness segment led by Dr. Sarika Satav, HOD – Nutrition & Dietetics, who explained the importance of balanced nutrition and appropriate dietary practices for kidney health.
Adding a unique and engaging dimension to the programme, Dr. Bhupendra Gupta, HOD – Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, conducted a “Flex Fun Therapy” activity highlighting the role of regular physical activity in overall health.
The event concluded with a “Kidney–Mind Connection” session by Dr. Vishal Harpale, Consultant Psychologist and Art Therapist, who emphasised the importance of mental wellbeing and stress management in maintaining long-term health.
Dr.Divij Mane, Dy.Managing Director, Noble Hospitals and Research Centre said that the program was an effort towards raising awareness about kidney health thereby encouraging timely check-ups, healthy lifestyle choices, and early detection, which are key to preventing chronic kidney disease.”
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from patients, visitors, and hospital staff. The session successfully created awareness about the importance of kidney care and encouraged people to adopt healthier lifestyles to prevent kidney disease.
