Pimpri Chinchwad Residents Witness Thrilling Performances by Young Climbers

Pimpri Chinchwad: The IFSC Asian K Championship 2025, jointly organized by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Maharashtra Sport Climbing Association (MSCA), and the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, is currently underway at Pimple Saudagar.

On the second day of the event, the residents of Pimpri Chinchwad witnessed the thrilling climbing skills of young participants. Every climber displayed immense strength and determination while tackling the challenging climbing walls. Korean and Japanese climbers dominated the competitions on the second day, claiming top positions.

This international-level championship, being held on the PCMC Climbing Wall, has drawn participation from over 200 athletes representing 13 Asian countries. The event continues at Yoga Park, Pimple Saudagar, until November 4.


Detailed Results of Day Two

Girls Under-15 – Bouldering

Japanese and Korean climbers showcased their supremacy in this category.

  • Gold Medal: Haru Makita (Japan) – 84.9 points
  • Silver Medal: Nana Kimura (Japan)
  • Bronze Medal: Noh Yoon Seo (Korea)

India’s Amiya Khosla secured the 12th position, while Sharayu Hande (22nd) and Sangita Tiyu (25th) also put up commendable performances.


Boys Under-15 – Bouldering

A tough contest was witnessed between Korean and Japanese climbers.

  • Gold Medal: Jungyoon Choi (Korea)
  • Silver Medal: Ko Hwican (Korea)
  • Bronze Medal: Kotaro Kawamoto (Japan)

India’s Suku Singh finished 8th, making it into the Top 10, while Debashish Mahato (15th) and other Indian players also performed well.


Boys Under-13 – Lead

Korean climbers dominated this category by winning all the medals.

  • Gold Medal: Junhyuk Ko (Korea)
  • Silver Medal: Lim Sihyun (Korea)
  • Bronze Medal: Wong Yuet Shing Raphael (Hong Kong)

India’s Mora Buriyuli (7th) and Shankar Singh Kuntia (8th) delivered strong performances and made the country proud.


Girls Under-13 – Lead

Korean girls continued their winning streak with excellent performances.

  • Gold Medal: Kim Hayun (Korea)
  • Silver Medal: Park Hayul (Korea)
  • Bronze Medal: Lee Jiun (Korea)

India’s Dhruvi Padwal stood out by securing the 8th position, while Manisha Hansda and Meera Chaudhary also achieved notable scores with impressive efforts.
