Pune World Marathon 2025

Pune: The Pune World Marathon 2025, organised by LOHA Foundation and titled by Panchshil Realty, concluded with record participation, global recognition, and a powerful social message — transforming Pune into a citywide celebration of fitness, unity, and inclusion.

Over 10,000 runners from across India and abroad ran under the banner “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Run,” carrying a shared commitment toward a healthier, drug-free, and compassionate society.

 Event Flag-off & Special Highlights

The main marathon flag-off took place at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, at 4:00 AM, in the presence of dignitaries, elite athletes, defence and police personnel, and international runners.

Two special social flag-offs further elevated the day’s spirit of inclusivity and compassion:

1. Orphan Children’s 5 KM Run:
Jointly organised by LOHA Foundation and Care For U, this segment saw 100 orphan children participate, symbolising empowerment, opportunity, and equality.

2. 3 KM Inclusivity Run:
Conducted in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Chinchwad, this heart-warming run included over 150 specially-abled participants — visually impaired, autistic, and differently-abled individuals — running alongside volunteers, spreading the message that fitness and inclusion know no boundaries.

Both these flag-offs were greeted with resounding applause and emotional appreciation from spectators and participants alike.

 Race Categories & Winners

The event featured multiple competitive categories: the 42.195 KM Full Marathon21.097 KM Half Marathon, and 10 KM Timed Run, along with exclusive Army and Police divisions.

Cash prizes worth several lakhs were presented to top performers, celebrating their endurance, determination, and discipline.

20 International Runners from different countriesparticipated, strengthening Pune’s reputation as a global running destination.
The route spanned Balewadi, Baner, Aundh, Wakad, and Nigdi, lined with cheering citizens, hydration stations, music stages, and volunteer support throughout the morning. 

The Pune World Marathon 2025 redefined fitness as a force for social good — merging sportsmanship, inclusivity, and awareness into one unified movement.

Through this event, LOHA Foundation reaffirmed its mission to build a drug-free, inclusive, and healthier India, using the power of running to inspire lasting change.
