Goyal Family’s Noble Contribution to Humanity — Dialysis Machine Donated to Lions Club Eye Foundation Hospital

Pune:Taking yet another inspirational step in the field of community service, the Goyal family donated a state-of-the-art dialysis machine to the Lions Club Eye Foundation Hospital at Mitramandal Chowk, Pune. This machine was dedicated in the loving memory of Late Shri Jayprakash Goyal, founder of the Brotherhood Foundation.

In a heartfelt and modest ceremony held at the hospital premises, the machine was inaugurated and dedicated to patient service in the presence of Geeta Jayprakash Goyal, Atul Goyal, and Amit Goyal.

The event was graced by several prominent personalities from the Lions Club and the Agarwal community, including Lion Rajendra Mucchal, Vijay Dangra, District Governor Lion Vijay Sarda, DG Elect Lion Rajesh Agrawal, PID Narendra Bhandari, Rajendra Goyal, Vijay Jaju, Deepak Kudale, Bipin Seth, Freddy Godrej, R.K. Shah, Neeraj Kudale, Sanjay Agrawal, Pawan Bansal, among others.

Geeta Goyal, moved with emotion, shared, “Late Shri Jayprakash Goyal was deeply devoted to service. His dream was that no one should suffer due to lack of medical treatment. By dedicating this dialysis machine, we are continuing his vision.”

On this occasion, Shri Ramniwas Chetaram Agrawal also announced the donation of another dialysis machine, warmly applauded by the attendees. Additionally, the families of Tanay Manoj Agrawal and Smt. Shakuntala Dwarkaprasad Bansal also donated one machine each.

Lion Rajesh Agrawal, District Governor Elect, informed that with the addition of this machine, the hospital now has a total of eight dialysis machines. Currently, 800 to 1000 patients are treated monthly at nominal charges, and two more machines will soon be added to meet the rising demand.

He further shared that Lions Club is the world’s largest service organization, with 113 dialysis machines operating across Pune, Nashik, and Ahmednagar districts. Alongside, the club also runs 17 educational institutions, has completed over 4,000 eye surgeries, and operates diagnostic labs, vision centers, diabetic care units, and modular operation theaters. Similar centers are planned for Kharadi and Pimpri-Chinchwad in the near future.

All dignitaries praised the Goyal family’s noble gesture and called it a shining example of selfless service to society.
