Training for Drone Trainers in the Defense Sector

Pune: The Combat Army Aviation Training School (CAATS) of the central government has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PBC Aero Hub, a Remote Pilot Training Organization based in Pune. As part of the agreement, PBC Aero Hub will conduct upcoming DGCA (Director General of Civil Aviation) certification training courses for drone operations. The MoU was officially signed by General Abhinav Rai of CAATS and Anjali Chitte, Director of PBC Aero Hub, with Pranav Chitte, the Director of PBC, and Brig. Shaukeen also present at the ceremony.

Sharing more details, Pranav Chitte highlighted that PBC Aero Hub has been actively involved in the drone training sector for several years, providing services across multiple regions. The organization has successfully trained aspiring women in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Odisha through the ‘Namo Drone Didi’ initiative. Over 1,000 students have received expert drone training at their center. Chitte expressed excitement about the collaboration with CAATS, noting that this partnership will allow PBC to conduct DGCA’s upcoming drone flight training programs.

Looking ahead, PBC Aero Hub plans to offer specialized training for drones used in border surveillance, defense operations, and warfare. These drones are designed to fly at altitudes beyond human visual capacity, typically between 3 to 5 kilometers, and will be crucial for national security and defense.
