Pune-based skating coach Rahul Ramesh Rane has recently been honoured as the ‘Best Skating Coach’ for the year 2020-2021 by the most prestigious sports award of Maharashtra state ‘Shiv Chhatrapati Award’. Rahul Ramesh Rane, CEO & MD, LaserXTech/LXT, has had a very inspiring journey from a skating coach to an entrepreneur. He is an international level skating coach and Rahul himself has participated in national and international competitions as a player. He has 36 years of experience in skating and professional coaching. A multiple-time national and international medalist, he is the only skater from India to have won the RSFI Nationals in all four disciplines: speed, artistic singles, pair skating and roller hockey. They have trained 3.25 lakh skaters/cyclists so far. More than 400 of his students have won more than 4500 national medals. Through his company LaserXTech, he deals in manufacturing, trading, importing and exporting of speed skates, hockey skates, ice skates, skate accessories, bicycles and bicycle accessories, bodysuits, etc.
Rahul Rane has represented countries like South Africa, Italy, South Korea, Belgium, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Germany (Speed Roller), Germany (Ice Skating), China, Taiwan (Ice Skating) as well as the School Games Federation. Has excellent experience as a team coach and leader for Roller and Ice Skating for India (Team Maharashtra).
Rahul Rane is the only skating coach in the world to have his own international level skating rink in Asia No. 3, LXT Skating Rink at Kasarsai near Mulshi in Pune. They have made this rink available to players and coaches without government subsidy solely for the purpose of producing excellent coaches and players. Rane is the co-founder of Meneki Global Pvt. Ltd also.It is a wellness and sports nutrition company that supplies across India and exports to 23 countries.
