Yodhi Taekwando Acadamey wins 20 medals in the 16th International Taekwondo Championship

Pune: City-based Yodhi Taekwondo Academy’s champions won 20 medals in the 16th International Taekwondo Championship recently held at ‘Taekwondowan’ in South Korea. This achievement has made India proud by performing admirably. More than 3000 players from 10 countries participated in this championship. champions from Yodhi Taekwondo Academy bagged a total of 20 medals including five gold, six silver, and nine bronze in Kyorugi (fight) and Poomsay categories.

Under the guidance of Master Rajesh Poojari (5 Dan Black Belt), Founder of Academy Suvarna Jogalekar has won two gold medals (Kyorugi & Poomsay), Rama Chidgopkar – Gold in Kyorugi & Bronze in Poomsay, Shibani Mengale – Gold in Poomsay & Bronze in Kyorugi, Kavya Soman – Silver in Kyorugi & Poomsay, Samyak Lahoti – Bronze in Kyorugi & Poomsay, Shlok Sathe – Silver in Poomsay & Bronze in Kyorugi, Nishant Kularni – Silver in Kyorugi & Bronze in Poomsay, Sharva Paranjpe – Bronze in Kyorugi & Poomsay, Sai Dahitule – Silver in Kyorugi & Bronze in Poomsay, Rajas Kaduskar – Gold in Kyorugi & Bronze in Poomsay. 

300 students are currently undergoing training in 15 branches of Master Rajesh Pujari’s Yodhi Taekwondo Academy in Pune. Suvarna Joglekar of Yodhi Taekwondo Academy got the opportunity to represent India this time under the guidance of Grand Master Chandrakant Bhosle (7 Dan Black Belt) who has been attached to the headquarters of Taekwondo in South Korea for 35 consecutive years. At the age of 42, Joglekar earned gold medals in both categories in this competition.
