Pune (Voice news service):- Bridgestone India, part of Bridgestone Corporation, a global leader in tyres and sustainable mobility solutions, announces the opening of the Bridgestone Centre for Tyre and Road Safety Education at PCMC Park, Pune. Under the Bridgestone Road Safety program, the centre will encourage responsible behaviours and practices amongst citizens, especially students towards road and tyre safety. Through captivating displays and interactive exhibits, visitors gain valuable knowledge about tyre safety and responsible road behavior.
PCMC Science Park boasts an average footfall of 10 Lac visitors annually, a prominent section being school and college students. The center empowers individuals with information and skills to make responsible choices on the road. Bridgestone India is committed to reducing accidents and creating safer journeys for everyone. The center focuses on safe driving practices, pedestrian safety, and traffic regulation adherence, fostering a culture of safety and responsibility. The Centre also imparts information on tyre maintenance as tyres play a very crucial role in vehicle safety. It also intends to highlight the importance and role of tyres in safe mobility emphasizing the crucial link between tyre care and overall road safety.

To ensure the program’s sustenance, Bridgestone India will regularly assess effectiveness and adapt educational offerings. Ongoing support and maintenance are provided by the Science and Innovation Division of the PCMC Science Park, ensuring the center remains a valuable resource for the community.
The centre was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Stefano Sanchini, Managing Director Bridgestone India, Mr. Prashant Patil and Prashant Hambar Board of Directors of the Pimpri Chinchwad science park., with the science park team, Mr. Nilkhant Poman CSR head of PCMC. Amongst Bridgestone India’s Senior Management members present on the occasion were Mr. Apurv Choubey Chief Human Resources Officer, Mr. Rajarshi Moitra Chief Commercial Officer and Mr. Rohit Mathur Head of OTR and Strategy.
