Pune: In an effort to increase students’ participation in curricular and extracurricular intra-school, inter-school, city, district, state, and national level activities, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) launched an exciting programme for students to showcase their creativity and also to evaluate a school’s standards and best practices. The two-day mega bonanza, “Jallosh Shikshanacha 2023” will be held on 24th and 25th January, 2023 at Auto Cluster Exhibition Center and will be action-packed with game zones, competitions, book stalls, contests for teachers, quiz time, treasure hunt and prize distribution along with a host of other cultural events. With a view to build a competitive environment around students and teachers, the organizers have conceptualized Jallosh Shikshanacha 2023.
This spectacular platform will allow students to tap their inner potential and equip them with the skills required to flourish in the current times. Excited about the launch of the event, Shri Pradeep Jambhale Patil, Additional Commissioner said, “We are extremely delighted to organize this student-centric extravaganza for our public schools in Pimpri Chinchwad. We know that our students have immense talent and we would like to see them excel not only in academics but also sports, art, drama, crafts, technology and design. Our focus will also be on the participating schools as their performance will be evaluated on various parameters, including students’ academics, soft infrastructure, external collaborations, teacher training, etc. Through our initiatives, we hope to achieve transfer of ideas and holistic development of the children.”
Shri Sandeep Khot, Deputy Commissioner, further reiterated, “We are proud to host Jallosh Shikshanacha for the first time in Pimpri Chinchwad. This is a golden opportunity for all students to display their skills and develop their ability to think, create, design and achieve. We would like to urge all schools to be a part of this educational exhibit and enroll in large numbers so that we can create a pool of new talent and give them the recognition they deserve.” Jallosh Shikshanacha 2023 will see participation of students from 129 PCMC schools.
Once registrations were received, the first phase filtering of the teams commenced with a students’ challenge, that was carried out at the school level and city level. A comprehensive rating system has been designed as the judging criteria for the school challenge to help identify “one best school” in each zone. This will later be converted into a Model School of the Zone. PCMC aims to create 8 model schools which shall act as replicable models in other PCMC public schools.
