SFA Championship Pune: Aditya shines in tennis with two medals on Day 4

Pune (Voice News Service): Producing excellent displays CM International School’s Aditya Gaikwad clinched two medals in tennis on the fourth day of the Sports For All (SFA) Championships in Pune on Wednesday.

Aditya bagged a gold and silver in the boys U-16 and U-18 singles categories respectively. The young athlete triumphed over Vismay Dosapati of Amanora School in the U-16 final and later lost to Sanay Sahani of Hind English Medium School Gurukool in the U-18 final.

India’s leading fully integrated digital plus on-ground multi-sport platform, Sports For All has been organising the first edition of this Olympic-style championship in Pune from December 11 to 17 with 11 sports being played at five venues.

The exciting tournament boasts an overall prize pool of close to ₹3 lakh and has been witnessing a total participation of 8,200 from more than 500 schools across Pune.

Meanwhile in the U-10 singles category, The Orchid School’s Rishita Yadav and Ojas Pawar secured gold in the girls and boys categories respectively.

PICT Model School grabbed a total of four medals in tennis on Day 4. In the girls singles category, Shreya Kambale of PICT Model School won silver in the U-12 category while Mishka Manoj attained bronze in the U-14 category. The duo of Pranshul Pujari and Anshul Pujari won bronze in the boys U-10 and U-12 singles categories respectively.

Besides their brilliant performances in tennis, PICT Model School also excelled in athletics as they topped the charts with a total of 10 medals, maintaining their lead at the top of the championship table.
