GOOGLE DEVELOPMENT STUDENT CLUB (GDSC)

SET UP AT GH RAISONI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Pune (Voice News Service): City-based GH Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Pune set up its very first Google Developer Student Club (DSC) in collaboration with Google. The DSC will focus on technical skills development initiatives within the campus while aiming to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The main objective of the DSC will be to provide students with the resources, opportunities, and experience necessary to be industry ready. 

The DSC will strive to bring together a team of passionate individuals who collaborate to build projects that solve real-world problems using technology. This club will aim to conduct practical workshops, events, speeches, and project-building activities both online and offline through which participants may learn about a variety of technical subjects and acquire new skills. Putting fresh knowledge to use to create excellent local problem-solving strategies and strengthening one’s abilities, profession, network, and most importantly giving back to the community is the main motto behind this club.

Through hackathons, code-e-thons, and other similar events, the members of the DSC will meet students who are interested in developer technologies within the campus as well as get to network with the members of other GDSCs. Miss. Ramsha Ashraf, a third-year student, has been selected as the GDSC Lead for the year 2022-2023. She was counseled by Dr. Simran Khiani, HOD Department of Computer Engineering. She provided immense support and guidance throughout the application and interview processes. Mr. Sunil Raisoni, Chairman of Raisoni Group of Institutions, and Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Director GHRCEM Pune congratulated the Department of Computer Engineering for bringing the Google DSC to the college campus.
