The well-known singer is coming to the city of Pune to grace the audience with his upcoming album ‘Dessert Rose’. The singer has gathered much love for his contribution to Indian folk music since a very young age and continues to do so with his soulful voice.
Mame Khan is all geared up to perform for the Punekars at antiSOCIAL, Pune on the 16th October 2022.
Mame Khan, also known as the signature Folk voice of Rajasthan, has taken an ancient musical legacy from the golden Thar Desert to the screens of Bollywood and to more than 60+ countries celebrating the finest of Folk Fusion with the 21th century audience. Mame Khan’s signature folk voice became a household name when it came to pioneering India’s authentic folk fusion music and taking it to a global audience.
Known as an exceptional live performer, famed as a Bollywood playback singer, celebrated for his super hit on Coke Studio, awarded for his unique compositions and loved for his colorful persona – Mame Khan is The Folk Star of Rajasthan. From the most prestigious festivals to prominent TV formats & to be found across platforms on the world wide web, Rajasthan’s Folk music earned global recognition through the voice of Mame Khan. Most recently he made India proud by being the first ever Folk artist to walk the Red Carpet at Cannes Film Festival.

For the very first time ever a folk artist has featured some of the greatest legends of the music industry ranging from Indian classical to contemporary, no other than Purbayan Chatterjee,
Taufiq Qureshi, Gino Banks, Sheldon D’Silva, Ojas Adhiya, Dilshad Khan, Amar Sangam and Nihal Kamboj are featured in the song called Saawan ~ A musical storm.
The entire album along with its music videos will be released from 14.10. onward across all platforms with a unique release plan. A special launch event is planned with antiSOCIAL Mumbai – packed with an exclusive insight and special appearances.
Mame Khan’s musical partners in crime are the renowned music composers and performers Nihal Kamboj from Delhi and Pintu Mallick form Bangalore.
As a special visual treat, the artist and his Indo-German producer Anjuli Chakraborty created stunning music videos in full lengths for each song. In times of digital and democratic music distribution, the artist is giving strong emphasis on the visual aspect and treat of his music. Kully Rehal, renowned Britain born visual artist and designer created a visual level to the album in form of its unique cover art, from the beauty of Rajasthan and the joy of Indian patterns and colors the artist truly embraced the spirit of this album visually. Some of the lyrics have come from the renowned lyricist Kamal Kishore Rajput.
