Adabi Darbar – An evening of Urdu Poetry Mushaira @ Zapurza pune

Pune : Hindi/ Urdu Mushaira “Adabi Darbar” in Zapurza, Pune on 3rd of July 2022. A Mushaira, wherein, shaayars present their work, aims to create an atmosphere of nostalgia and imagination through words so appropriate that it’s nothing less than listening to the truth. Poems are predominantly in Urdu, Hindi, and Hindustani.
8 poets From Pune and Mumbai region will deliver performances, in a 3 hr hour-long “Mushaira”, the audience will witness some of the superb artworks of original Hindi and Urdu literature. People will experience some of the best contemporary voices of Hindi & Urdu poetry. Ghazals and Nazms will surely resonate, as they will take the audience to all new metaphorical world of love, humanity, absurdity, patriotism, and nature.

Who we are :
We are a group of poets trying to Lift up the Urdu/Hindi literature in pune and trying to make a change within the literature and art enthusiasts of the 21st century. The Poetry Cosmos has been conducting different traditional Hindi/Urdu poetry events for the past few years. We are trying our level best to bring the Urdu/Hindi literature in the Pune poetry scene, We have a quite good following of Urdu/Hindi lovers in the city. We conduct regular meetups, workshops, gatherings, and mushairas to build the community and try to push the literary art a step forward with every event we conduct.

About the Curator:
Kamlesh Biswas is a published poet and Founder of The Poetry Cosmos which has been conducting different traditional Hindi/Urdu poetry events for the past few years. He is also a well-known personality in the Pune-Mumbai poetry circuit.
Being a responsible and active participant of the Pune Poetry circuit, Kamlesh has organized various literary events in the city. Kamlesh has been writing from the age of 18 and is an avid reader of Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Fiaz Ahmed Faiz, Bashir Badr, Sarvat Hussain, Akhtar Ul Iman, and Many more. He has gained his interest in literature from his father who used to translate Tagore’s poetry in Hindi. Currently, Kamlesh is curating a theatrical show where he is aiming to combine poetry and theatre together.
