Women’s Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Campaign” by Henkel

Pune (P&V News Service): Henkel Adhesives  Technologies India and Lions Club Pune Sahakarnagar, Dagdusheth Datta Mandir Trust Pune, Durgam Pratishthan distributed 25000 sanitary napkins worth 2.5 lakh  to 450 girls at Laxman Rao Apte School, Deccan Gymkhana.   These Girls are from Vadarwadi, Janwadi, Gokhalenagar area and studying in this school.

Each girl provided enough sanitary napkins which fulfill one year requirement.At this time, Dr. Sujata Doshi and Sarita Sonwale guided the girls about female menstrual hygiene. The girls asked questions in openness answered and guidance given to them. Henkel manager Dr. Prasad Khandagale said that more than 10 lakh sanitary napkins are being distributed in 8 cities and rural areas across India. The future generations of modern India are going to be created by these Adishaktis where henkel trying to do support awareness drive along with NGOs. Program taken in Guwahati, kalkatta, Indore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai cities along with rural areas..Rajendra Balakwade of Datta Mandir Trust and Headmistress Mrs. Medha Sinnarkar, expressed there views for supporting such initiative by Henkel.

Nandkumar Jadhav of Durgam Pratishthan, Ravindra Pathare, Lions Club’s Yuga Talim, Lalita Shinde, Secretary Jayshree Divakar, Henkel’s Kirti Katkar, Mandvi Jaiswal School teacher Kavita Shinde etc. Were present. Mrs. Madhavi Yelarpurkar anchored the program and express gratitude for it.At this time, seeing the gift, many girls had a lifelong smile on their face.
