Daikin launches New Future Ready Range of Split Room ACs

Pune: Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan – the world’s no.1 air-conditioning company launched a new range of split room ACs indigenously conceptualised & manufactured for the discerning Indian consumers. This new U Series range boasts of a ready technology that empowers the customers to manage the quality of air conditioning across their premises, informed by Navneet Sharma, Vice President (Channel Business), Daikin India in the press conference. Navneet Sharma said, “At Daikin, our research indicates heavy customer emphasis on air quality and health, so we have now extended our patented streamer discharge technology to 4 star segments in addition to offering an upgrade to products with Wi-Fi. Our commitment to deliver goodness in air via product innovations continues with our Dew clean technology that enables indoor units (IDU) to self-clean itself with atmospheric water ensuring hygienic and efficient operations. Considering a 150 square feet space is a very common area across homes & offices, this newly launched range of Daikin AC’s offer itself to the compact cooling & air quality needs for every common man. With widespread electrification of India over the last few years, Daikin AC’s presents an ideal choice for consumers to avail eco-friendly air-conditioning solutions.

He further said, “Daikin India recently signed the land purchase deal at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, for manufacturing of ACs & components as part of the recently announced PLI scheme by the Government of India in the AC manufacturing space, entailing an investment of INR 1000 Crore during the first phase. This new facility will augment our capacity from the current 1.2 mn RA units to 2.5 mn units, classifying Daikin India as the largest Exporter of HVAC equipment’s from India. Daikin India is the first Japanese AC company to take this pioneering & leadership step to invest in India with a view to give prominence to – ‘Atmanirbhar’ India (self-reliant). Sensing a big manufacturing opportunity in India and an endorsement for the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ vision, Daikin chose Sri City in Southern India as one of the hottest next destinations to set up its 3rd manufacturing base after facilities at Neemrana, Rajasthan.
