Pune International Centre to launch ‘Pune Samwad’ programme of Conversations in Marathi

Pune (P&V News service) : Pune International Centre (PIC) policy research think tank is all set to launch Pune Samwad, a programme of Conversations on topical issues in Marathi.

Every month, the PIC conducts a number of online programmes such as book conversations, webinars, discussions under PIC Adda and an immensely popular series, ‘India and the World’s Great Religions’. A number of eminent persons such as Justice Rohinton Nariman, Mr Pavan Verma and Prof Sadanand More are among those who have spoken under this series.

On Monday, January 31st, the PIC will launch ‘Pune Samwad’ from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm. This online event will feature a discussion on the book ‘The Hundred-Year Marathon: China’s Secret Strategy to Replace America as the Global Superpower’. This event is open to the public and those interested may register for this event

The discussion will be led by Mr Anil Supanekar, Founder member and Trustee, PIC. Mr Supanekar has had more than 50 years of active involvement in various branches of industry and has served on the board of various companies as a Nominee Director of financial institutions.The event will be Chaired by Ambassador Sudhir Devare (Retd.) former Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs and former Director-General, Indian Council for World Affairs. Ambassador Devare was the first Indian Ambassador to Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia and has also served as Ambassador to South Korea and Indonesia. He was a member of the National Security Advisory Board during 2002-03.
