Pune: For patients and families facing complex cancers of the peritoneum (a thin membrane that lines the abdominal cavity and covers organs such as the stomach, intestines and liver), the path to the right treatment often begins with finding the right team. Apollo Hospitals Pune today announced the launch of its Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Clinic, Maharashtra’s first dedicated clinic for the specialist evaluation and management of patients with complex peritoneal surface malignancies.
The clinic has been designed as a precision-led, multidisciplinary care pathway, bringing together specialist patient selection, tumour-board review, cytoreductive surgery, selective Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), advanced intraperitoneal therapies, rehabilitation and survivorship support.
