Pune: Two Wise Academy, a new educational institute founded by young educators Reva Akash Mehta and Diya Nilesh Shah, was inaugurated recently at Prasad Apartment, T.M.V. Colony, Gultekadi, Pune.
The inauguration was graced by Mr. Frank Freese, former Principal of The Bishop’s School, Pune, who has headed all three branches of the institution. Hon. Mrs. Siddhi Avinash Shilimkar, Corporator, also graced the occasion and extended her support and best wishes to the young founders.
At just 24, Reva Akash Mehta, founder of Two Wise Academy, brings together a strong academic background and six years of teaching experience at the senior-secondary level. An MBA graduate from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, she has also served as a senior-secondary teacher at Symbiosis International School, Pune. Despite pursuing management studies, her experience in the classroom strengthened her conviction that education was the field in which she wanted to build her future.
Speaking about the philosophy behind the academy, Reva said, “Knowledge is not boring; the way it is imparted is what matters. Understanding every child personally before teaching them is important, and here at Two Wise, we aim exactly at that.”
Her co-founder, Diya Nilesh Shah, 24, is a BBA Finance graduate with six years of teaching experience, particularly with upper-primary students. Together, Reva and Diya aim to combine their experience across different age groups to create an environment where students receive individual attention and learning goes beyond conventional classroom methods.
Addressing parents and guests at the inauguration, chief guest Mr. Frank Freese expressed confidence in the young educators and their initiative. Speaking to the parents present, he said, “Many of you have little children whom you want to educate, and I think you’ve come to a very, very good start with these young ladies at Two Wise Academy.”
Mr. Freese also recalled his conversation with Reva about her decision to pursue education as her calling. Drawing an analogy with her family’s background in the jewellery business, he said, “When Reva told me what her passion was and why she wanted to get into this field, I thought—when you go to the jeweller’s shop, you get something of value and you give more back. Here, these two young ladies are not looking for big money; they are looking to give back to society.”
The academy caters to students from Classes 4 to 12 across the IB, ICSE, IGCSE and ISC curricula, with an emphasis on conceptual understanding, personalised attention and making learning engaging for every student.
