241st Aradhana Mahotsav of Sri Varadendra Teertha Swamiji to be Celebrated in Pune from July 19 to 21

Pune: The 241st Aradhana Mahotsav of Poojya Sri Varadendra Teertha Swamiji will be celebrated with great devotion, Vedic traditions, and spiritual fervor from July 19 to 21, 2026, at the Nanjangud Sri Varadendra Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Sadashiv Peth, Pune. Thousands of devotees from Pune and across India are expected to participate in the three-day spiritual celebration.
The sacred festival will be held under the divine blessings of His Holiness 108 Sri Suyateendra Teertha Swamiji and in the holy presence of the present Peethadhipathi, His Holiness 108 Dr. Sri Sri Sri Subudhendra Teertha Swamiji.
The celebrations will commence on July 18 at 5:00 PM with Dhwajarohana (Flag Hoisting), Prarthana Utsava, Go-Puja (Cow Worship), and Dhanya Puja. The religious observances will continue with Poorva Aradhana on July 19, Madhya Aradhana on July 20, and Uttara Aradhana on July 21.
Every day, the program will include Suprabhata Seva at 5:30 AM, Phala Panchamrita and Ashtottara Parayana at 8:00 AM, Sansthana Puja, Hastodaka, and Maha Mangalarati at 10:30 AM, Theertha Prasada at 1:00 PM, Hari Bhajans and Spiritual Discourses from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by Utsava and Ashtavadhana Mangalarati at 8:00 PM.
The Mahotsav will also feature a series of cultural performances. On July 19, Sri Anand Teertha from Bengaluru will present a traditional Kolalu (flute) recital. On July 20, renowned Pune scholar and musician Pandit Sri Raghunandan Panshikar will present Dasavani, while on July 21, Mrs. Neha Deshpande Kulkarni will perform a Hindustani Classical Vocal Concert.
A special Silver Chariot Procession (Rajata Rathotsava) will be held at 7:30 PM on July 19 and 20, and again at 11:30 AM on July 21, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere for devotees.
Speaking about the event, Mr. Datta Joshi, Manager of the Mutt, said that thousands of devotees from Maharashtra and various parts of India are expected to attend the three-day celebration. He appealed to all devotees, well-wishers, and members of the public to participate with their families, seek the blessings of the revered saint, and experience the spiritual, religious, and cultural programs organized during the Mahotsav.
