Fevicryl Celebrates Local Creativity with ‘The Art Chapter’
Pune: Fevicryl, a leading brand in arts and crafts in India, successfully hosted ‘The Art Chapter – Celebrating the Local Artist’, a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at empowering, promoting, and celebrating India’s thriving local art community. The public exhibition, held at the iconic Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery in Pune recently , attracted over 3,000 visitors, underscoring strong public interest in homegrown artistic talent.
The exhibition showcased artworks by more than 80 artists, including Fevicryl Certified Professionals (FCPs) and select emerging artists. The collection spanned a wide range of traditional Indian art forms alongside contemporary and experimental expressions, offering visitors a rich and immersive artistic experience. The Art Chapter served as a meaningful platform for artists to exhibit their work, interact with art enthusiasts, and gain visibility and patronage.
Several participating artists successfully sold their artworks, while many received commission enquiries, paving the way for future collaborations. Enhancing the overall experience, Fevicryl also curated hands-on workshops such as Indian Art and Fabric Art sessions, which drew enthusiastic participation and added further creative inspiration to the event.
The initiative extended its impact to the next generation of artists by engaging 12 prestigious art, fashion, and design colleges through a specially curated competition, encouraging young talent and fostering early engagement with the professional art ecosystem.
“The Art Chapter reinforces Fevicryl’s commitment to nurturing and strengthening India’s creative ecosystem,” said a company spokesperson. “We are excited to continue building platforms that enable hobbyists and artists to showcase their talent and connect with wider audiences.”
