Pune (Voice news service):- Manipal Hospital, Baner announced the launch of its MAHI Health Packages, an initiative aimed at encouraging preventive health check-ups and supporting early detection of health conditions across age groups. The launch programme included opening remarks by Dr. Prasad Biware, HOD & Consultant – Internal Medicine, and Dr. Pruthu Dhekane, Consultant – Infectious Disease, who highlighted the importance of routine health assessments in identifying risk factors early and improving long-term health outcomes.

The launch was attended by Mrs. Lata Ayer, President, Tathewade Jeshth Nagarik Sant Gyaneshwar Group, who formally unveiled the initiative in the presence of doctors and staff members.

Speking on the launch, Dr. Pruthu Dhekane, Consultant – Infectious Disease, Manipal Hospital Baner, Pune said: “Several common metabolic and lifestyle-related diseases develop quietly and show no early signs. Preventive health checks provide early diagnosis and treatment, preventing serious conditions and long-term problems. They also enable proactive health monitoring, help identify specific risk factors, and reduce the need for advanced treatments at later stages. Timely vaccination remains an important preventative approach in reducing the prevalence and severity of infectious diseases across age groups, while also helping to protect vulnerable populations and reduce the spread of infections within the community.”

Speaking about the MAHI Health Package on the occasion Mr. Anand Mote, Cluster Director, Manipal Hospital Baner, Pune, Said, “Preventive check-ups support early detection of infections and associated risk factors, often before the onset of symptoms. The MAHI Health Packages offer age-appropriate preventive screening options, helping individuals across different life stages monitor their health proactively and identify conditions that may otherwise progress silently over time. The initiative also underscores the importance of timely medical intervention and expert care, and reflects Manipal Hospital Baner’s commitment to addressing the healthcare needs of people in Pune and the surrounding areas.””

The programme concluded with the distribution of health education booklets to attendees, reinforcing the role of awareness and regular health screening in preventive healthcare and informed health decision-making.
