Pune: The 24th edition of Guru Tegh Bahadur Football Tournament, which is being organized by Guru Tegh Bahadur Sports Foundation (GTBSF) with 350th martyrdom of Guru Shri Tegh Bahadur Sahib.
Mr.SS Ahluwalia, MJF Lion Rani Ahluwalia said that, The year 2025 marked 350 years since Guru Teh Bahadur was killed.The tournament will be held from 24th October to 1st November, 2025 at its usual venue, the Ammunition Factory Sports ground, Khadki .
A total 36 teams which included
Chetak FC, Pune City Police, Indrayani FC, Sigma FC, Thunder Catz, KP XI, Rahul FC, Ashoka XI, Giants B, Aryans, UKM Kothrud, Sangam FC, Nosy Boys, Beta FC, City FC, Laukik Football Club, New India Club, Sangvi FC, Durga FC, Parashuramians, Khadki Blues, Sai FC, Sangam FC, Sunny Days, Gunners FC, Falcon FC, Fatima XI, Strikers, Phoenix, Blue Stag will be seen in action. The tournament will be played under knockout basis. The prestigious tournament will be open for teams from 2nd and 3rd divisions, senior and Super divisions. The event will be played in Junior Senior Category, Womens Category. The tournament will offer a total prize money of Rs.1,50,000/-.
There will be a separate tournament for women’s teams too. Besides handsome cash prizes, footballs, bags, medals to all winners and runners up teams, each participating player will be given a certificate of participation, said Mr. Ahluwalia. All those involved in the organising committee worked relentlessly as if it was seva for Guru Tegh Bahadur sahib.”
