Playful Learning, Powerful Futures: OILF & Rangeet Empower Pune’s Next Generation

Pune: OmniActive Improving Lives Foundation (ILF) and Rangeet are jointly expanding their impact in Pune through Rangeet’s innovative Social Emotional & Ecological Knowledge (SEEK)© curriculum and digital platform. This partnership is making it possible for more people to access Rangeet’s play-based and skills-centered curriculum, which aims to instill important 21st century skills like creativity, confidence, digital citizenship, resilience, and critical thinking in students.

“At Rangeet, we’re committed to ensuring that education prepares every child for more than just tests; we’re committed to preparing them to thrive,” shared Simran Mulchandani, CEO & Co-founder of Rangeet.“By collaborating with the Improving Lives Foundation in Pune, we have unlocked a growing network of schools and communities so that more children have the opportunity to engage in learning that promotes not just academic achievement but personal growth.”

“Real transformation happens when we blend deep-rooted sustainability values with imaginative learning—and that’s exactly what this partnership embodies,” said Rushva Parihar, Head, OmniActive Improving Lives Foundation (ILF). “By combining OILF’s reach across health, environment, and education with Rangeet’s playful SEEK curriculum, we are not only empowering children to thrive today but also nurturing the next generation of changemakers who will advance the SDGs and take climate action with empathy, resilience, and purpose.”

The program, which allows teachers to use over 1200 engaging activities, stories, games and poems, has already impacted more than 11,000 students and trained 200 teachers, with a goal of reaching 20,000 students by the end of 2025. These students come from schools across Pune including MSS High School, Shridharnagar, Chinchwad; Adarsh Balak Mandir, Akurdi; Laxmibai Dhainje Vidyalaya, Thergaon; Laxmibai Barane Vidyalaya, Thergaon; Sane Guruji Adarsh Vidya Niketan, Pimpri; and Kai. Vishnupant Tamhane Vidyamandir, Chikhali.

Teachers in Pune are already noticing some remarkable changes:“The curriculum develops children’s communication skills, sense of cooperation, creativity, self-confidence, and environmental awareness. It emphasises learning through games, making the learning process enjoyable for children. Students participate in Rangeet activities with great enthusiasm and joy. The app also provides the facility to instantly collect and analyse students’ learning data, enabling teachers to accurately assess their progress.” – Vaishali Yele, Teacher, M.S.S. High School, Shridhar Nagar, Chinchwad

“The program is very useful for our students. The Affirmations activity from the Society module, for example, brings positive changes in my students. They became more humble and more polite.” – Mrs. Usha Keskar, Teacher, Anusaya Ovhal Madhyamik School, Punawale

“The most important change we noticed in the children was that they became aware of the discrimination and the gap between boys and girls – something they might not have realized before, even though they saw it every day. Once they understood it, conversations about it began among them.” – Hemlata Kokane, Headmistress (Secondary), Nav Maharashtra Primary Vidyamandir, Rupeenagar

And the students are just as excited:“Because of the Rangeet program, I learned how to conduct myself in society. I understood how to treat others and how to respect my own feelings as well as those of others. I realised that men and women should have equal rights in society. Women should be considered just as important, capable, and strong as men. This program was very beneficial for us. Thank you for that.”  Swati (Student), Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune

“We learned about bullying as well as the different types of bullying, which helped us understand what to do if we or others experience it. We also learned some English words and, when the Rangeet team visited our school, we spoke to them in English.”  Pratik (Student), Chinchwad, Pune

This expansion in Pune reflects the joint mission of OILF and Rangeet to nurture citizens with agency and the skills they need to thrive in an unforeseeable future.
