Keystone School of Engineering Inaugurates Data Science Center of Excellence in Association with DOMO Inc.

Pune: Keystone School of Engineering has taken a significant leap toward bridging the gap between academics and industry by establishing a Data Science Center of Excellence in collaboration with DOMO Inc., a global leader in data science solutions. The center was officially inaugurated on July 22, 2025, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, and enthusiastic students.

DOMO, recognized among the top five data science organizations worldwide, is the official industry partner for this newly launched center. Through this initiative, students at Keystone will receive extensive training in data science skills, access to internships, and opportunities to work on live industry projects, equipping them for the data-driven future of engineering.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of Mr. Ashfak Sheikh, Director of Domo India, and Mr. Krishnat Pawar, Product Expert at DOMO, who shared valuable insights on the vast career opportunities in data science for engineering graduates. Mr. Ashfak also provided an overview of DOMO’s global footprint and how the partnership will benefit students in building competitive industry-ready skill sets.

Prof. Yashodhan Soman, Founder Director of Keystone School of Engineering, Dr. Sandeep Kadam, Principal, Mr. Ankit Lunawat, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students attended the inaugural event. Dr. Kadam expressed that Keystone remains dedicated to creating industry-ready engineers and emphasized that this collaboration will significantly address the curriculum-industry skill gap in the field of data science.

The event also marked the unveiling of the Data Science Laboratory and the official course brochure for the upcoming training programs. Prof. Swati Paneri efficiently coordinated the event and ensured its smooth execution.

In his concluding remarks, Prof. Yashodhan Soman commended the collective efforts of the entire team and congratulated everyone involved in the successful establishment of the Data Science Center of Excellence.

This initiative underscores Keystone’s continuous commitment to innovation in engineering education and its vision to empower students with future-ready skills aligned with industry demands.
