Pune: The Suryadatta Education Foundation marked the First World Meditation Day with great enthusiasm at its Bavdhan campus. The event highlighted the importance of meditation in achieving mental well-being and a stress-free life.
Renowned spiritual leader BK Saritaben Rathi led a meditation session, sharing her insights on its transformative power. She emphasized, “Meditation is the only solution to mental disorders like stress, insomnia, and anxiety. It keeps the mind calm, body composed, and thoughts peaceful.”
On this occasion, BK Saritaben was honored with the prestigious ‘Surya Bharat Global Peace Award-2024,’ comprising a sculpture of Lord Mahavira, a trophy, and a scarf. The event also marked the inauguration of the Lord Mahavira Meditation Center, which will remain open to students, staff, and their families for regular meditation practice. The event was attended by Associate Vice Chairperson Snehal Navlakha, and Director Prashant Pitalia, along with principals, department heads, faculty, staff, and a large number of students.
Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, Founder and Chairman of Suryadatta Education Foundation, highlighted the significance of meditation in personal and professional growth. ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi Tak’ (From Resolution to Accomplishment) is the motto of Brahma Kumaris, aligning with the ultimate goal of life. Meditation is the golden path to a happy and prosperous life,” he remarked.
This is the first program on a global scale to mark World Meditation Day. Suryadatta not only provides the best education but also organizes various initiatives for the holistic development of students, he added.
