Hindavi Swarajya Mahotsav 2024Conclues in Grand Celebration

Pune (Voice news service):- The Hindavi Swarajya Mahotsav 2024, a spectacular tribute to the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, concluded in Junnar with resounding success. Organized by the Maharashtra State Tourism Department and Pune District Administration, the three-day extravaganza witnessed an overwhelming response, attracting over 9000 attendees from across the state and country.
The Mahotsav, commemorating the 394th Birth Anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, commenced on February 17th, transforming Junnar into a vibrant hub of cultural fervor and historical reverence. The inaugural day featured a series of captivating events, including the Mahadurg Fort Walk at Shivneri Fort, Junnar town, followed by the inauguration of several key attractions such as the Adventure Zone and Zipline Arena promising thrilling experiences, the Heritage Walk at Junnar Fort offering insights into the region’s rich historical heritage, the Art District at Bhutte Patil showcasing the cultural diversity and artistic talent of Maharashtra, the Food District at Bhutte Patil Ground tantalizing taste buds with a diverse array of culinary delights, the Tent City & Water Sports providing a perfect retreat for leisure and aquatic adventures, and the Concert Area at Bhutte Patil Ground featuring mesmerizing performances and cultural showcases. The highlight of the day was the mesmerizing performance of “Shiv Manvandana – Powada” by Shahir Suresh Jadha and the unveiling of Asia’s largest play, “Jaanta Raja- MAHANATYA,” portraying the life and valor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Continuing the festivities on February 18th and 19th, the Hindavi Swarajya Mahotsav 2024 unfolded with a myriad of activities and experiences, enriching the cultural tapestry of Maharashtra. Attendees were invited to partake in a diverse array of offerings, ranging from the adrenaline-pumping Marathon and Adventure Zone activities to the tranquil Heritage Walks and captivating cultural performances. Each day resonated with the spirit of celebration and reverence, providing attendees with unforgettable moments to cherish. Adding to the festivities were farm visits that enthralled the captivated visitors and tourists alike.
On February 19th, the Mahotsav culminated in a grand finale, offering a fitting tribute to the enduring legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The day commenced with the solemn Shiv Janmotsav celebration at Fort Shivneri, followed by a continuation of Adventure Zone activities and Heritage Walks, allowing participants to delve deeper into the historical and cultural treasures of Maharashtra. The day’s highlight was the array of cultural performances, including the Maha Shiv Aarti and the captivating “Shivshambhu Shaurya Gatha” by Shiv Sahyadri, which enthralled audiences with its portrayal of the valour and courage of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. As the sun set on the final day of the Mahotsav, attendees departed with hearts full of gratitude and memories of a truly remarkable celebration of Maharashtra’s rich heritage.
The event was graced by the presence of Shri Satyasheel Dada Sherkar, Chairman, Vighnahar Sugar Mill, Junnar-Ambegaon; Smt. Ashatai Buchake, Member of the District Planning Committee; Chairman Sanjay Kale; Dy. Chairman Prakash Tajane; Shyamrao Pande, City Mayor, Junnar Nagarparishad; Dy. City Mayor Dinesh Pardeshi; Director – Tourism Mr. B. N. Patil; Provincial Officer Govind Shinde; DySP Ravindra Chaudar; Mrs. Shama Pawar, Dy. Several delegates and organizations were felicitated for their contribution in the Hindavi Swarajya Mahotsav.
