Although the reel has disappeared from the cinema today, it is still present in our lives through ‘reels’. The number of entertainers is increasing day by day by making small and big reels and conveying some message through them. The fad of reels has spread from the streets of the city to the mansions of the villages. The journey of the grassroots artists who make reels will be brought before the fans through the upcoming film ‘Reelstar’. The Marathi movie ‘Reelstar’ has been Muhurt recently.

Producer Jose Abraham has taken the bow to produce the upcoming film ‘Reelstar’ under the banners of JFives Entertainments and Initiative Films. The film has been Muhurt recently. Simmy Joseph and Robin Varghese, the director of the popular movie ‘Anya’, which was released in Hindi as well as Marathi, are directing ‘Reelstar’. The screenplay and dialogues of this movie are written by Robin Varghese and Sudhir Kulkarni. The film ‘Reelstar’ is the pursuit of the dreams of grassroots artists who make reels. Becoming a reel star in today’s age of smart phones doesn’t require any special training, but the journey of reel stars is not as easy as it seems. The struggle they have to go through to become a reel star and the price they have to pay in pursuit of their dreams is what makes them ‘reel stars’ in the truest sense. A similar plot will be seen in this film as well. Currently, the shooting of this film is going on in and around Ambernath. Director Simmy Joseph and Robin Varghese said that the film is a tribute to the art of the grassroots artists who make reels in real sense, saying that it tells the story of today’s generation of artists. It has reviewed the mentality of today’s artists while touching various issues in the society through art. Producer Jose Abraham expressed the feeling that the plot of this film titled ‘Reelstar’ is a real star and the actors are capable of doing justice to the plot.

Bhushan Manjule, the brother of leading Marathi producer-director-actor Nagraj Manjule, will be seen in an important role in the film, along with Urmila Jagtap, Prasad Oak, Ruchira Jadhav, Milind Shinde, Swapnil Rajashekhar, Suhas Joshi, Vijay Patkar, Kailas Waghmare, Mahesh Subedar, Shivaji Patne, Rajesh Malvankar, Sarita Manjule, Mahendra Patil, Kalpana Rane, Deepak Pandey, Ganesh Revdekar, Abhinav Patekar and others are the actors. The pair will also get to see the acting of two child actors Arjun Gaikar and Tanishka Mhasade. DOP Shinob has done the cinematography while Sameer Chitnavis has done the art direction. Mahendra Patil is the creative producer of the film, Anirudh Dubhashi is the production manager, and Nandu Achrekar is the Chief associate director. Music composed by music composer Vinu Thomas, Lyrics by Guru Thakur, Mandar Cholkar and Prashant Jamdar. The costumes are done by Rani Wankhade and Makeup by Bhagwat Sonawane.
