‘Khiladi nikle hire ki khan se’, Maharashtra Ironmen launch team anthem for Premier Handball League

Pune (Voice News Service): Maharashtra Ironmen launched a team anthem to inspire their players and fans as they embark upon their journey in the Premier Handball League which begins on June 8, 2023.

The anthem has been composed by Sahil Patil, who hails from Jammu & Kashmir. It starts with the line – “Dekho Dekho aa gaye maidan me, khiladi nikle ye hire ki khan se”- as most Maharashtra Ironmen players in the team come from humble backgrounds and have faced numerous struggles to make it to this stage. They will now look to leave a mark in one of the fastest sports in the world which also happens to be an Olympic sport.

“The motivation behind writing this anthem is to simply portray the beautiful game of handball and its players. I read a lot about the game and watched a lot of videos as well and got to know that it is one of the fastest games in the world. Handball is really interesting as you can’t keep the ball in your hand for more than three seconds which makes it a really thrilling experience, so, I tried to capture all that thrill in the anthem,” stated Sahil Patil.

He further added, “I have been into music for a long time now but this is my biggest project yet – the Maharashtra Ironmen team anthem. I feel very proud and blessed that I got this opportunity to write an anthem for this team and I would like to thank Punit Balan sir for giving me this opportunity as this will be the most memorable project of my life.”

Maharashtra Ironmen owner and, the Chairman and Managing Director of Punit Balan Group, Mr Punit Balan commented“The anthem fills you with positive energy and thrill which really encapsulates the game of Handball. The game is fast and you have to be on your toes all the time which makes it a spectacle to watch for a large number of audience. I am sure this anthem will inspire our players to do their best on the court.”

The Premier Handball League will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan, from June 8-25, 2023. It will be broadcast LIVE across the Viacom 18 Network – Sports 18-1 (HD & SD) and Sports 18 Khel and JioCinema.
