Vivekananda Study Centre established at MIT-ADT University in Pune

Pune:MIT Art, Design and Technology University at Loni Kalbhor, near here, has established a chair in Swami Vivekananda’s name for conducting research, teaching, and philosophical studies on his life.
Shri A Balakrishnan, president of All India Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. Swami Srikantanandaji from Ramakrishna Math, Pune, Professor Dr Vishwanath Karad, founder-president of MIT-ADT University, and Prof Dr Mangesh T Karad, vice-chancellor, MIT-ADT University, inaugurated the Vivekananda chair at the Vishwaraj Film Studio on Wednesday.
“It is a matter of immense pride that the Swami Vivekananda chair is being initiated in MIT-ADTU. This chair in MIT-ADTU inspires, energises and provides strength in each person. It also fills one with love and submission towards the country. The work of ‘Man Making and Nation Building’ should be done through the Centre,” said Balakrishnan after inaugurating the chair.
“I hope this chair of Swami ji at MIT-ADTU inspires everyone, fills them with energy,” said Vishwanath Karad.
The chair should impart courage, which Swami Vivekananda wanted to see in every individual, he expressed and added that it should also teach compassion, which is at the heart of Swamiji’s philosophy.
Meanwhile, a memorandum of understanding was also signed between MIT-ADTU and Vivekananda Study Centre, Kanyakumari.
