Pune P&V News Service) : City based senior tax practitioner Narendra Sonawane, has been selected unopposed to the National Executive Committee of the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (AIFTP). The election of the National Executive Committee of AIFTP has just taken place. This selection has been made for a period of two years that is 2022-24.
AIFTP is a national organization consisting of chartered accountants, lawyers and tax practitioners. AIFTP, which operates across India, has more than 10,000 members. Narendra Sonawane is a renowned tax practitioner based in Pune and a former president of the Maharashtra Tax Practitioners Association. He has successfully held the National Tax Conference in Pune for three consecutive years as Chairman.
He has been instrumental in resolving various issues of tax advisors, chartered accountants, as well as streamlining the GST system. Following up with the Union Finance Minister, he has tried to simplify the GST system. Narendra Sonawane said that he would try to make the tax system more streamlined through AIFTP in the near future.
