Nexus Westend and The Pavillion Bring Festive Culture to Life Through Immersive Experiences

Pune: This festive season, Nexus Westend and The Pavillion is inviting Punekars to experience celebrations beyond shopping, with immersive cultural experiences bringing India’s rich stories, art and traditions to life at Pune’s two most loved malls.

At Nexus Westend, the timeless epic mythological tale of the Ramayana takes centre stage through a spectacular festive décor inspired by its seven Kands. A grand pavilion set against a serene waterscape, along with an inviting bridge, welcomes visitors into a visual storytelling journey featuring iconic chapters such as Ram Setu and Ashok Vatika. The larger-than-life installation brings alive themes of faith, courage, devotion, resilience and the triumph of good over evil, offering families an opportunity to experience the epic through art, architecture and immersive storytelling. The Ramayana theme will also extend to a Fancy-Dress Competition for kids and adults on 31 October, an Art Competition on 1 November, and engaging Ram Katha sessions by a young disciple, creating opportunities for families to participate and connect with the timeless story.

Meanwhile, The Pavillion celebrates the festive season through ‘Warli Diwali’, a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Warli art form. A large-scale immersive installation brings together Warli storytelling, festive lights and traditional motifs, allowing visitors to step inside and interact with the artwork. The experience will feature a Warli-inspired hero installation, immersive Infinity Room, photo-op arch and illuminated Warli lanterns, alongside Warli art workshops across four weekends starting 17 October. A Tarpa Dance Performance on 31 October and 1 November will further bring the indigenous art and culture of Maharashtra to the festive celebrations.

Together, the two destinations offer Pune a festive experience where mythology meets art, storytelling meets participation, and tradition gets a contemporary makeover — giving families and friends more reasons to step out, explore and celebrate together.
