The film features powerful performances by Priyadarshan Jadhav, Bharat Ganeshpure, Sushama Deshpande, Kailas Waghmare, Snehalata Tagde, while Krish More delivers a remarkable performance in the title role of Khalid. The film is directed by Raj Pritam More, written by Kailas Waghmare, and produced by Michael Thevar and Sushama Thevar. Michael Thevar, President of the leading U.S.-based mental healthcare organization Omni Health Care Services, has played a significant role in bringing this meaningful project to life.

The story revolves around a young Muslim boy named Khalid, who is mocked at school by being called “Afzal Khan.” Disturbed by the prejudice he faces, he embarks on a journey to seek answers. This journey eventually leads him to the teachings and life values of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, helping him understand the true essence of justice, compassion, and leadership.
Set against the backdrop of increasing religious and social polarization, the film’s unique premisea Muslim child discovering Shivaji Maharaj’s philosophyhas deeply resonated with audiences.
The film has also earned significant international and national recognition. It was officially selected for the prestigious Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival, marking a proud achievement for Marathi cinema. It was also selected for the IFFI Indian Panorama, Goa 2025, and for the India Focus Special Screening section at the Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival.
