Strong Rorr Evo Demand Fuels Oben Electric’s Maharashtra Expansion

Pune: Oben Electric, India’s fastest-growing R&D-driven electric motorcycle manufacturer, is accelerating its Maharashtra expansion following strong nationwide demand for the newly launched Oben Rorr Evo,which crossed 25,000 bookings within just 15 days of launch. Building on this momentum, the company plans to expand its retail footprint in Maharashtra to 25 showrooms by FY27, strengthening customer access to electric motorcycles, service infrastructure, and ownership support across one of India’s fastest-growing EV markets.

Oben Electric hosted the Maharashtra regional showcase of the newly launched Oben Rorr Evo at its Shivajinagar showroom in Pune, reinforcing the city’s importance as one of the company’s strongest-performing markets nationally. Oben Electric currently operates 11 showrooms across Maharashtra, including four in Pune located at Wakad, Shivajinagar, Aranyeshwar, and Chinchwad, along with outlets in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik, Latur, Nagpur, Barshi, Solapur, and Ahmadpur. The company plans to add 14 additional showrooms across Maharashtra by the end of FY27, driven by rising demand for high-performance electric motorcycles and accelerating EV adoption in the region. Pune is projected to contribute nearly 25% of overall Rorr Evo sales in Maharashtra, supported by growing consumer interest in premium electric mobility solutions.

The strong response to the newly launched Oben Rorr Evo marks one of the fastest early booking ramp-ups witnessed in India’s electric motorcycle segment. Deliveries are scheduled to commence from June 2026, while customers can continue to avail the introductory ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) pricing through the live online payment portal.

Priced at an introductory ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers and ₹1,24,999 (ex-showroom) thereafter, the newly launched Rorr Evo delivers a premium performance package that stands ahead of its segment. The motorcycle is powered by Oben Electric’s proprietary IPMSM motor producing 9 kW peak power. The motor is heavy, rare-earth-free, IP68 certified, and 40% more compact than the previous generation while delivering 20% higher power and 250 Nm of wheel torque.

The Rorr Evo comes equipped with a 3.4 kWh LFP battery offering an IDC-certified range of 180 km, acceleration from 0–40 km/h in 3 seconds, and a top speed of 110 km/h. The motorcycle supports fast charging from 0–80% in 90 minutes and is backed by an 8-year battery warranty. Designed to combine performance with everyday usability, the motorcycle offers the segment’s longest seat along with 10 litres of storage space. It also features SmartIQ™, Oben Electric’s AI-driven ride optimisation technology, capable of improving range efficiency by up to 15%. Additional features include a 5-inch colour TFT display, OTA updates, turn-by-turn navigation, geo-fencing, remote immobilisation, and fall detection with emergency SOS enabled through Oben’s proprietary ARGUS connected technology platform.

Supporting its rapid nationwide expansion, Oben Electric currently operates through 150+ showrooms and dedicated service centres across 100+ cities in over 18 states, with plans to add another 200 exclusive showrooms across India by the end of FY27. The company is backed by a vertically integrated manufacturing facility in Bengaluru with an annual production capacity of 1 lakh motorcycles.
