Mission Arthritis India Hosts National Patients’ Convention on Bone & Joint Health in Pune

Pune: Mission Arthritis India (MAI) on saturday organized its National Patients’ Convention on the theme “Bone & Joint Health” at The Poona Club, Pune, bringing together patients, caregivers and  doctors,  for a day dedicated to awareness, education, and patient empowerment.

Chief Guest Dr Vaishali Deshmukh, Endocrinologist, highlighted the importance of overall physical and mental health and lifestyle management in preventing joint-related disorders. The event featured insightful sessions by leading experts including Dr Nachiket Kulkarni Consultant Rheumatologist, Dr Arvind Chopra Director & Chief Rheumatologist, CRD, Dr Apoorva M. Sangoram Professor HOD Dravyaguna, Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Dr Ravinder Kaur Professor, HOD  MAEERs Physiotherapy college

Deepa Mehta, Chairperson of MAI, briefed the audience about the various activities and initiatives undertaken by MAI and the organization’s continued efforts to support people living with arthritis.”

Mrs Shweta Kulkarni, secretary MAI delivered the welcome address followed by release of the MAI souvenir.

Expert talks covered key topics such as bone and joint health, posture and ergonomics for healthy joints and the importance of traditional Indian diet and nutrition in managing arthritis.

A special highlight of the event was the presentation of three prestigious honours — the Late Shri P. C. Nahar Oration Award to Dr. Nachiket Kulkarni, the Late Shri Haribhau Rathiji Vata Viruddha Yodha Award to Ms. Rani Parasnis, and the CRD Vata Viruddha Award to Mr. Arvind Jagtap.

This was followed by an Open Forum where patients interacted directly with doctors, sharing experiences and seeking guidance.
