Need to Transform Academic Research into Industrial Technology – Dr. Dattatray Jadhav

Pune: The international conference “INMEC-2026” (Interdisciplinary Advances in Mechanical, Electronics and Computer Engineering) was successfully organized on March 14 and 15 at Keystone School of Engineering, Uruli Devachi (Pune). The conference was held in collaboration with industry partner Globemind Technology and leading science and technology publishers Scitech Press and Springer Nature.
Dr. Dattatray Jadhav, Joint Director of the Department of Technical Education, Pune, Maharashtra State, attended the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest. Dr. Pradeep Bilulkar, Chief Data Scientist at Samson Techninische Labs, was present as the Guest of Honour. The conference also featured Abdullah Pathan, Maharashtra Ratna awardee and an expert in Artificial Intelligence, as the Keynote Speaker.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jadhav emphasized that professors should make special efforts to transform academic research into industrial technology. He stated that converting academic research into practical industrial applications would significantly contribute to the technological advancement of the country. He also provided information about various government schemes available for research students seeking higher education abroad.
Dr. Pradeep Bilulkar explained a five-point program for effective research, highlighting the importance of innovation and quality in research.
Students, professors and researchers from various colleges participated in large numbers in the inaugural ceremony. The conference was conducted in both online and offline modes. More than 600 research papers were received from across the country and abroad, out of which 197 selected papers were presented in various technical sessions.
At the beginning of the program, Dr. Archana Kale delivered the welcome address. Dr. Parikshit Mahale, Convener of the conference, highlighted the growing need for new technological concepts and research at the national and international level. Dr. Tushar Bhoite provided detailed information about the organization of the conference.
The conference was organized under the guidance of Founder Director Prof. Yashodhan Soman and the leadership of Principal Dr. Sandeep Kadam. Special support for the conference was provided by Praveen Jadhav, Managing Director of Globemind.
The efforts of Dr. Balaji Bodkhe, Head of Computer Department Prof. Sagar Rajebhosale, and Dr. Veena Kadam were specially appreciated for the successful planning and organization of the conference. In his presidential address, Prof. Soman congratulated the organizers and participating researchers and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing such academic platforms.
The program was anchored by Prof. Meenakshi Devkar, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Sagar Rajebhosale.
