10th International Diabetes Summit 2026 – A game changer in India’s fight against Diabetes
Pune (Voice news service):- Chellaram Diabetes Institute has organized its 10th International Diabetes Summit - 2026 from 13th to 15th March 2026 . to address Diabetes and identify practical ways to tackle the growing menace of Diabetes and its complications. Dr Vinky Rughwani (Administrator of Maharashtra Medical Council, Mumbai, Member of National Sickle Cell Elimination Mission in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India, and President of Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society of India) will grace the inaugural function as the Chief Guest.
Dr Carani B. Sanjeevi (Professor at the Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, and head of a research group “Diabetes Immunology” at the Center for Molecular Medicine in Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm) will be felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Around 2000 delegates are expected to atttend the summit which will cover talks on managing diabetes complications, cost-effective diabetes care, new advances and role of technology in diabetes management. The summit will also contain workshops on AI and Diabetes, MASLD in Diabetes and a symposium on Endocrinology and Women’s Health.
Eminent international speakers from Mayo Clinic in USA, King’s College, Imperial College, University of Suffolk, University of Leicester and University of Edinburgh in the UK, Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, Medical University of Graz in Austria, National University of Singapore and University of Padua in Italy, and over 70 renowned Indian faculty members to speak at the summit.
Over 75 young researchers will present free papers to win the Chellaram Foundation Diabetes Research Awards – 2026 Basic and Clinical Science Categories (Rs 2,00,000 and Rs 1,00,000 in each category).
Around 500 contestants, including children with type 1 diabetes, will participate in “Run for Diabetes” – 3 km and 5 km marathon organised by Chellaram Diabetes Institute and the Blue Circle Diabetes Foundation on Sunday 15th March.
