Inaugurating the store, Prof. Yashwant D. Pitkar a renowned Indian architect, educator said that In today’s times of computers and mobiles where we type everything, fountain pens are still relevant . When we write with a fountain pen, it is very personal unlike other impersonal ways . Secondly our expressions can be conveyed aptly through handwriting and here is where writing tools like fountain pens play an important part. We get a variety of fountain pens, nibs and inks, depending on our choice we can express ourselves, it is a wonderful world altogether. People think that fountain pens are outdated but from my research I can tell you that they are in fact more popular worldwide now . People have realised that there is speed with the digital world, but there is passion with the physical world .
When we write something, whether it is a poem, novel or anything that we are saying from our heart, the best thing is to write it. When we write with a fountain pen it is literally our expressions flowing through the ink and the nib on the paper. Personal impact and image that we get out of the written word is permanent. That is why they say that a written word is forever.
Talking about the store he said that earlier we had stationary shops, but the boutique concept of Vedole gives a wonderful experience of visiting and buying.
