A two-day national conference organized by the MCA department of Suryadatta Institutes of Management
Pune: Suryadatta Institutes of Management, MCA Department hosted TechFest-2024, a two-day national-level symposium. A wide variety of events on technology and innovation for the advancement of technology for societal improvement were focused. This event addressed the most important areas of management and technology such as time management, the use of appropriate computing tools, and its applications. Students’ programming skills were evaluated during this competition. TechFest is aculmination of robust planning and rigorous efforts of the faculty team, students, and the unalloyed support of management. Each event is led by a domain expert faculty member along with a team of faculty coordinators and student coordinators. Students showcased their talent and innovative skills at the festival.
The formal Inaugural Ceremony of TechFest 2024 was held recently. It witnessed a grand Inaugural Ceremony in the presence of Dr. Manisha Kumbhar, Professor & Director- Suryadatta Institute of Business Management & Technology, Mr. Akshit Kaushal, COO SGI’s, along with various institutes HODs, Principals, faculty members, guests and enthusiastic students.
Dr. Sanjay Chordiya, Founder and President, SGI interacted with the students during events and motivated them to active participation. He also gives valuable input and shares his view on the futuristic view of Artificial Intelligence in the educational sector. Dr. Shailesh Kasande, CEO & Group Director SGI also motivated students to Participate, and without his support and guidance event execution was highly impossible.
Under TechFest-2024, four key events were organized namely: ‘Mr. & Mrs.Technocrat’, ‘Mindsweeper’, ‘Battle with Code’ and ‘GameGlider”. ‘Mr. & Ms. Technocrats’ event was formally launched in the presence of external jury members, event coordinators, and contestants. The event progressed through a variety of rounds such as MCQ covering Technical, logical, and general knowledge; followed by ‘Extempore’ and ‘extra-curricular flair.
The Mindsweeper – software development competition focused on adding new perspectives and information/ innovations to the body of current technical knowledge. Contesting teams presented their software solution addressing real-life problems/ challenges. Battle with Code took place with three rounds. Contestants participated in online multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in the first round, which was based on logical and technical questions. Qualified Participants of round one had to spot errors/bugs in the given program code and fix them. Game Glider provided a platform for gaming enthusiasts to showcase their skills in Valorant and BGMI.
Around 500+ students from various institutes from the Pune region and SEF’s family participated enthusiastically and showcased their talents. ERP system was exhaustively used in the planning and execution of various rounds of theenlisted key events such as registration, communication, MCQ, and announcement of results.
The prize distribution ceremony was held with our esteemed jury panel from Industry and academicians are Mr. Siddharth Pathre CEO-Clever Ground Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Swapneel Dabholkar, COO-Clever Ground Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Amit Shrivastav and Dr. Rajnish Mishra. Top performers were rewarded with individual, and group cash prizes, trophies, and certificates.
Techfest 2024 was coordinated by Dr. Vidya Gavekar and Prof. Megha Mane along with the MCA Team. The hard work and effort put in by MCA faculties, volunteers, and other students were evident in the success of the event.
