CII Western Region and TIFAC sign MoU for for promoting Innovation, Technology Development and Assessment in Industry
Pune (Voice news service):- An MoU was signed between CII Western Region and TIFAC ( Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council – An Autonomous body under Department of Science & Technology, Govt. ) for a formal collaboration for promoting Innovation, Technology Development and Assessment in Industry in presence of Dr Pradeep Srivastava Executive Director TIFAC, Mrs Pratima Kirloskar Chairperson, CII WR Sub-Committee on R&D, Innovation & Digitalisation and Promoter Group, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd and Dr Rajesh Kapoor Regional Director CII Western Region.
The MoU will facilitate setting up TIFAC-CII centres of Excellence in tier -2 institutions focussed on emerging future trends which can offer specialised courses. The MoU includes partnership for technology interventions through projects in select areas such as healthcare services and delivery, education, livelihood, skill development, livelihood/income generation etc focussed on Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The collaboration also includes TIFAC-CII training programmes for academia in WR regions on Technology Foresight, IP Protection, Management, Valuation & Transfer, Technology Assessment, Technology Demonstration, Technology Programme Implementation & Execution. And TIFAC-CII customised training programmes on Technology Foresight, Technology Prioritisation for State Government Departments; Ministries (both State & Central), Industries, PSUs, Civil services/information services officers.
