Every question is answered in Srimat Bhagavad GitaProf. Dr. Mangesh Karad; World-Sanskrit Day celebrated at MIT ADT

Pune- ‘Shrimat Bhagwat Gita contains the answer to every question asked by human beings and every student should read it and adopt the principles stated in it’, asserted by Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad, Vice-Chancellor and Working President of MIT University of Art Design and Technology. He was speaking at a program organized on the occasion of World-Sanskrit-Day jointly organized by the University’s School of Vedic Sciences and School of Humanities.

On this occasion the Controller of Examinations Dr. Gyandev Nilvarna, Dean Dr. Priya Singh, Dr. Atul Patil, Dr. Madhavi Godbole and other dignitaries were present.Prof. Dr. Karad, while presenting the modern method of Sanskrit language, drew everyone’s attention to how the study of Sanskrit language leads to the overall development of the personality of the students. On this occasion, he also appealed to the students to spend their entire lives on the basis of all the four Purusharthas of Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha and keep the ideal of a noble life in front of their eyes.

While saying this, he also reviewed the contribution made by various Acharyas to Indian traditions starting from Adi Shankaracharya.In his welcome speech, Dr. By Madhavi Godbole highlighted the importance of Sanskrit language in modern times.

On this occasion, the students of the department presented a play showing the journey of Sanskrit language till the nineteenth century. Also, this activity was carried out with enthusiastic response of students through verse recitation competition, quiz competition etc.
