Jui Keskar, a 15-year-old girl from Pune shines on BYJU’S Young Genius Season 2

Pune (P&V News service) : Children, many times, have surprised the world with their innovative ideas. Such is a story of BYJU’S Young Genius Season 2 contestant Jui Keskar who invented the JTremor-3D device to help people with Parkinson’s disease.

Growing up in a joint family, Jui saw her uncle battling Parkinson’s disease for almost a decade. Her uncle had undergone deep brain stimulation surgery where a pacemaker was installed and needed to be tuned regularly. This inspired Jui to develop the JTremor-3D device, which helps measure tremors in Parkinson’s patients and sends the data to the doctors.

She was recognised for these innovations on the show, wherein she also interacted with renowned musician and composer Shankar Mahadevan who also tried the gloves and was astonished and proud of her innovation at this young age.

Commenting on the show, Jui Keskar shares, “I was disturbed seeing my uncle struggle with his frequent medical trips and was lucky enough to come up with JTremor-3D device to help him improve his life. It helps measure tremors in patients who suffer from Parkinson’s and sends the data to the doctors through a Cloud database. I hope this device will be helpful for more patients and bring a sense of equality to their minds. I am grateful to News18 and BYJU’S for giving me an opportunity to showcase my innovation on the show and to be an inspiration for millions of kids across the world.”

Jui has also received multiple international and national accolades for this endeavour including the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam National Award for Innovation and Creativity in 2020.
