{"id":8248,"date":"2022-12-04T15:43:23","date_gmt":"2022-12-04T10:13:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesofpowerandvoice.com\/?p=8248"},"modified":"2022-12-04T15:43:24","modified_gmt":"2022-12-04T10:13:24","slug":"rotary-club-of-pune-central-rcpc-brings-professional-boxing-championships-to-pune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesofpowerandvoice.com\/?p=8248","title":{"rendered":"<strong>\u00a0\u2018ROTARY CLUB OF PUNE CENTRAL (RCPC) BRINGS PROFESSIONAL BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS TO PUNE\u2019<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pune (Voice News Service):- As part of its newest initiative to raise awareness as well as CSR funds for undertaking corrective surgeries for children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), RCPC launched its \u2018RCPC Knock Out CHD\u2019 platform in association with the Indian Boxing Council to bring never before Professional Boxing Championships to Pune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flagging off the \u2018RCPC Knock Out CHD\u2019 platform, Rotary District 3131 Governor Anil Parmar remarked \u201cCompliments to RCPC for leveraging the power and reach of Professional Sport to attract funding for CHD like projects with large financial outlays. We will take this to all the Clubs in the District as a force multiplier of this unique initiative \u201c It is pertinent to mention that 1 out of every 5 children born, suffer from CHD and 1 out of every 5 CHD afflicted, need a corrective surgery costing Rs. 1.5 lacs. Survival without surgery is rarely more than 5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur very first event with the \u201cRCPC Knock Out CHD\u201c platform begins with \u2018Rotary Boxing \u2013 Pune Fight Night\u2019 on 11th December\u201922 at the MIT University Campus at Loni Kalbhor, spanning 8 bouts including a National Boxing Title each in the Men\u2019s and Women categories\u201d exclaimed Uday Dharmadhikari, President RCPC, barely hiding his excitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both National Boxing Title bouts are sanctioned by the World Boxing Council. While the Men\u2019s Title bout will be 10 rounds, the Women\u2019s Title bout shall be 8 rounds.
